On my rounds today there was a commotion in the trees. Not sure if this guy (red arrow) just went into the nest of these guys (red circle) and destroyed eggs/baby birds, or if it was his nest and the others just wanted him to leave.

Either way they were not happy!

After the rain, flowing again.

Before the rain, when it had stopped flowing. It totally dried up after I took this video. Next video shows it now after the rain.

The calf on the left is her calf, the others two free taking advantage of a free snack. Because mum can put her nose down and smell her own calf, she thinks those who are drinking are hers. Older cows wouldn’t allow this but first timers are not ‘calf savvy’ yet.

First time calvers don’t always go to plan. Looks like mum may have birthed this one standing up and it’s fallen the wrong way, or she may have fell/stepped on it. Its back legs are facing one way and the front legs facing the opposite way.
