🎉 Terowie Turns 150 – And We Need Your Help! 🎉
In October 2027, Terowie will celebrate an incredible milestone – 150 years of history, community, and memories. To make this a truly memorable weekend, we're inviting current residents, former residents, descendants of Terowie families, and everyone who loves Terowie and its rich history to get involved.
The celebrations will be held on 8th, 9th & 10th October 2027, and we're looking for volunteers and contributors to help bring ideas to life.
There are many ways you can help, including:
🚂 Researching and sharing the stories of Terowie's historic buildings
🎶 Assisting with entertainment and event planning
🍽️ Helping source catering and food vendors
🚜 Organising displays of vintage machinery, farming equipment and steam engines
🚂 Coordinating railway-related and military related displays and memorabilia
🔨 Arranging blacksmithing and traditional trade demonstrations
👗 Showcasing historic Terowie railway uniforms, wedding dresses, school uniforms and other memorabilia
📸 Collecting photographs, stories and memories of Terowie through the years
🏛️ And everything else in between!
This celebration belongs to everyone who has called Terowie home, has family connections to the town, or simply appreciates its unique place in South Australia's history.
