Theodore Community Bowls Club Theodore Bowls Club is based in Central Queensland and was opened in 1943. We are Community based organisation run with the generosity of volunteers.

Our aim in the New Year 2026 is to provide a great service to the community and continue the volunteer work that the previous committee and volunteers have done to give a new lease on life to the old bowlzy! Since 2015, with the fantastic support of organisational grants we ha

ve been able to:
- upgrade the electrical wiring of the clubhouse,
- install air conditioning throughout the building
- upgrade the toilet facilities,
- install a disabled ramp entrance,
- upgrade all external seating for safety of those who visit,
- install a solar system,
- purchase 20 sets of junior bowls,
- purchase an electric griddle, 2 bain maries & a new 2 door fridge,
- replace the ancient green mower & BBQ.
- upgrade the kitchen facility and equipment. We are very grateful to sponsors and for the grants which have assisted us in our endeavours. Sport & Recreation, Gambling Community Benefit Fund, Volunteer Grants, Banana Shire Council, Evolution Mining, Anglo Coal & Aeris Resources. At the end of the day, it is the volunteers who keep this place going. If you would like to become a part of the Theodore Bowls Club community, come on down and join us for a roll on the green, a refreshing beverage or even a hearty meal!

Water Interruptions in February

🚰 Council advises that planned valve and hydrant maintenance on the town water supply network will take place throughout February in Theodore and Taroom.
Residents may experience short and intermittent water supply disruptions as works progress.

Properties directly affected will receive individual interruption notices ahead of any planned outage. 🚧 Signage and barricades will be in place around work sites, and locations may change daily depending on operational needs.
