I thought the calves might enjoy their new hay ball... but first it needed a thorough Highland investigation!
They were happy to chase it but a little less convinced about touching it. We'll try again!

Even cows need a friend by their side 🤎

Charlotte and Elsa have grown up together since they were calves. They share a strong bond, and we often see them checking in on each other.

Charlotte recently needed treatment for her hooves, and Elsa came in from the paddock to see what was happening and check on her friend. It was such a lovely moment to capture.

Our newest Highland calves now have names.. meet Nessie and Toby 🤎

Nessie’s name is inspired by the city of Inverness, the capital of the Highlands. While Toby’s name was inspired by Tobermory on the Isle of Mull. Another little piece of Scotland, right here in Thomson Brook. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🌿

A big thank you the our Highland Experience guests Allison Torony and family (Nessie) and Jessica Micenko (Toby) for the name suggestions.

We’re looking forward to sharing these two little characters with you over the coming months.🤎

Elsa and her boy Finn, at 10 months old he’s finding his place in the fold (herd) and will even challenge his Mum.

She handles him very well and is great at teaching calm after a battle 🤎

Introducing Rosie’s beautiful first calf, a baby boy born just three days ago 💙

He hasn’t wasted any time finding his feet…or his turbo button! His first-time mum Rosie is doing her very best to keep him close and out of trouble.

She is already such a caring and attentive mum, and we couldn’t be prouder of them both.
