šŸ˜‚ Watch our Highland heifers try to figure out what this strange little creature is…

Poor Lenny gets an inspection every time he visits the paddock šŸ¤Ž

Finn has the most beautiful temperament šŸ¤Ž

Every morning, he waits patiently by the gate, hoping for some cuddles and attention. He genuinely loves being around people and never misses an opportunity for a cuddle.

It’s no surprise he’s become a favourite around the farm.

This little guy will be part of a brand-new experience we’re launching in the coming months… We can’t share all the details just yet… but trust us, it’s going to be something very special šŸ¤Ž

There’s something about a fire that draws you in and relaxes you even for cows... we’ve been cleaning up around the trees and the cows have loved watching. We got a lot better reaction this year than what happened last year, which was a little stressful to say the least!

It’s Potre’s turn… at 2.5 years old she is at the right size to have her first calf so she is going for a date with Jacobite.

We’ve welcomed so many lovely new followers recently, so we wanted to say hello and introduce ourselves šŸ¤Ž

We’re Jackie & Leon, the owners of Highland View Farm in the South West of Western Australia. Thank you for the many kind messages, comments, follows, and support. Seeing how many people find comfort, joy, and calm through our videos truly means the world to us.

For those who are new here, Highland View Farm is home to our beautiful fold of 27 Scottish Highland cattle and a few Angus, all with their own unique personalities, which we love capturing and sharing through our posts.

What started in 2020 as a passion for the breed and following my family heritage has grown into something incredibly special and since 2023, we’ve been welcoming visitors to the farm through private Highland experiences and picnics, where guests can meet, cuddle, and spend time with our cattle.

We’re also passionate about promoting calm and respectful animal handling, and creating genuine connections between people, animals, and nature all while sharing more about this incredible heritage breed.

Alongside sharing life on the farm online, we also love taking our cattle out into the community for shows, events, and special visits.

We do our best to reply to as many comments, messages and phone calls as possible, although farm life can get a little busy at times!

Above all, we want this page to be a positive and welcoming space filled with kindness, learning, and appreciation for these beautiful animals.

Thank you for being part of our farm story. Whether you’ve visited us in person or you’re watching from somewhere across the world, we appreciate you more than words can say šŸ¤Ž

One of the most beautiful things about Highland cattle is their incredible maternal instinct šŸ’•

Highland mothers are known for being protective, gentle and attentive to their calves. From the moment a calf is born, the bond between mother and baby is unmistakable.

They nurture carefully, watch over their young constantly, and teach their calves how to navigate life within the herd. You’ll often see them quietly standing guard while their calves rest nearby or softly calling to them if they wander too far.

Today and everyday we celebrate all mums, the protectors, nurturers, teachers and calm hearts behind the next generation.

Happy Mother’s Day from all of us at Highland View Farm 🩷

Last week he had everyone worried…
Today he’s back demanding neck scratches like nothing happened šŸ˜‚

Charlotte is still keeping a close eye on him in the background ā¤ļø

Should Wallace become a regular series? šŸ‘€

WA Highland State Show - Supreme Exhibit

Charlotte of Koonunga Hill has once again taken out Supreme Exhibit at the 2026 W.A. Highland State Show, making this her second consecutive year achieving this honour.

We couldn’t be prouder to see her recognised again.

A sincere thank you to our judge, Glenn Adams, for travelling across to Western Australia and for his time, insight, and careful assessment of the exhibits. Your experience and commitment to the breed are greatly appreciated by all involved.

We would also like to acknowledge the efforts of the organising committee and the support of the Harvey Agricultural Society for hosting the event and providing a platform to showcase Highland cattle in Western Australia.

It’s incredibly encouraging to see the quality and numbers of cattle continuing to grow in WA.

We are extremely proud of Charlotte and grateful to be part of such a passionate and supportive Highland community.

A special thank you to everyone that helped us on the day and Foxtail Photography and Sash Rodrigo for capturing the special moments.
