Deez Kitchen is purely my creative realm. It came about with a lot of persistence and encouragement from my husband, family and all my friends – to share my inspiration of everything food with the world out there and allow for an enriching, authentic and contemporary, Indian cuisine experience. It is NOT a restaurant. It's my world of cooking at . Mostly celebrating
uisine as a relish. Our weekends are precious and often shared in the company of people we enjoy being with. I truly believe good, quality food lends an opportunity to enhance togetherness and rekindle the joys of everything 'Indian' that we terribly miss from back home. And that's what I have on offer. A sneak peak into how awesome and versatile Indian cuisine is. It's more than just butter chicken, naan and biryani. Sure there are times I may entertain making a special takeaway box for a friend or someone who is desperate to trial some of it, but with little kids wrecking havoc at home these opportunities to 'sell' from home are rare. Coming from a background in television, journalism, events and communications, every ounce of me goes into making ‘food’ an experience that is creative, real and enjoyable. I really believe that if you want great food, it is the delicate, intricate things that matter. Not everything needs a tomato-onion paste or an overdose of garlic and curry. Quality comes from simplicity, the right hint of spices and the essential aromatic burst to surely make your taste-buds do a cartwheel! Let's just say it is my hope that this page offers more than just food. What I do (truly) hope this does, is inspire creativity within you, egging you on to want to push your own boundaries and revisit your own culture, cuisine in your very own kitchen, right now! There's a lot to celebrate with the diversity of food, bursting with the subtleties of one's culture, upbringing and so much more... it fosters unity and friendship in the most natural, effortless ways, and that's why perhaps I am so drawn to it myself. I hope this page serves as that gentle reminder of the uniqueness inherent in life, in food, in all of us... and hope everyone can experience just how exhilarating it is to pour a (little) part of us to create something for the sake of our very own ever-expanding circle(s) of influence :)
