IT'S A WRAP! We're so grateful for terrific support for the 16th annual Tinamba Food and W**e Festival, held at the weekend. Attendees came from Melbourne and all points across Gippsland, with a big local contingent from Sale, Maffra, Stratford, Bairnsdale and Traralgon. Two took the opportunity to fly in with Lakes Entrance Helicopters!
More pics coming later in the week.
Thank you firstly to everyone who took a chance on the weather, which turned out (mostly) sunnier than we all expected! They arrived ready to taste, and left with bags from Community Bank Maffra & District, full of goodies!
As always this day could not come together so smoothly without a huge band of helpers, including Tinamba Community Group, Heyfield & District Lions, Red Cross, Tinamba CFA, Bedggood's Transport and our multi-talented group of young event staff. The magic happens behind the scenes with locals who provide haybales for event fencing, pick up generators, trailers etc!
🌟🍷Thanks to our w**emakers, fresh from vintage 2026, who love the chance to share some new releases alongside some festival favourites: Blue Gables, Glenmaggie, Lightfoot, Nicholson River and Wyanga Park.
🌟🍽️Thank you to our stallholders who brought the YUM! The Long Paddock (whose gourmet pies disappeared so FAST), Bush Tucker Bites with their Japanese take on native flavours. And of course the consistently popular offerings from Tinamba Hotel. Thanks also to Wyanga Park W**ery for stepping up to run the oyster bar after Albert & Co unfortunately had to withdraw late. Love seeing collab between local businesses!
🌟🥤Gippsland Jersey, Tarago Olives, Rainbow Creek Nuts, Oz Wildflowers and Kingfisher CItrus helped fill those bags! And thank you to Stu Taylor from Infusa Distillery and Nicole Saunders for being part of our inaugural Meet the Makers sessions.
Thank you to Wellington Shire's Middle of Everywhere team for their support, including the loan of your furniture.
Our suppliers, including Kennards Sale, East Gippsland Traffic Control, Dysons, JJ Waste and Supasafe Hire, Zagame Security - as always, stepped up.
The Hip Pockets well and truly OWNED that stage, with their incredible big band sound (with 5-piece horn section) covering everything from current hits to R&B and soul classics, ably supported by the always-excellent sound engineer, Brett Van Hoorn.
👏👏👏Saving the best until last... our HUGE thanks to lead sponsors, Bank Maffra & District for your support, your presence on the day, your colourful tote bags. We even had one of your team help with preparing the bags in advance! Your involvement and enthusiasm is greatly appreciated for a community-run festival like ours.
