Its Egg Day!
We love a good egg, and we have plenty on the go at the moment.

Tom has Black Australorp eggs in the incubator and another batch under a chook in the hen house at the moment.
We are really impressed at the quality of the birds he has at the moment, with 'Charles' his new rooster a great addition to his flock.
He is more than happy to incubate orders for anyone who is interested, or we can sell fertile eggs by the dozen. There will be pullets and cockerels available in March.

I have also got week old Partridge Wyandotte and Gold Laced Wyandotte chicks that I will be selling if anyone is looking for some of these breeds. Sasha my new Gold Laced Hen is going to be a surrogate mum in the meantime.

Tom has also been getting into the Japanese Coturnix Quails and we have quail eggs coming out of our ears! The quail meat is delicious, and the eggs have been a welcome addition to our salads.
I also love the way they sing to me when I'm working in the garden beside the aviary.
