Wellโ€ฆ itโ€™s got the wrong private parts ๐Ÿ˜… but we are absolutely ecstatic nonetheless!

JPC Cutโ€™N Ambition welcomed her very first bull calf by 50 Amp, and this little fella has not stopped drinking since he hit the ground. Amby delivered him textbook style and immediately stepped into motherhood like a seasoned pro - exactly what weโ€™d expect from the strength of her genetics ๐Ÿซถ

With his arrival, we officially now have a great-grandmother in our herd, and weโ€™ve retained almost every heifer from this maternal line along the way (shouldnโ€™t of sold that first one๐Ÿคฃ). I reckon thatโ€™s the true definition of a matriarch ๐Ÿ’š thank you CCC Shania T.

Thereโ€™s honestly no greater pleasure as a breeder than watching years of hard work, careful genetic decisions, and passion come to life in the paddock.

Today we tip our hats to the real backbone of our herd - the Mothers ๐Ÿ’•

The quiet leaders. The steady hearts. The ones who teach the next generation how to stand, how to graze, how to be. Out here, itโ€™s not just instinctโ€ฆ itโ€™s legacy.

Every strong calf at foot is a reflection of the cow behind it. Her temperament, her resilience, her grace. The way she watches, protects, and provides never goes unnoticed.

In our paddocks, motherhood looks like dust-covered noses, soft nudges, patient guidance, and a whole lot of grit.

These girls are more than just cattle โ€” they are the foundation of everything weโ€™re building. Bloodlines, stories, and futures all start with them.

And today, weโ€™re also thinking of the women whose hearts carry motherhood in different ways - those still waiting and hoping for their turn, and those missing their own mums a little extra today. Youโ€™re part of this story too, and just as celebrated ๐Ÿค

We have JUST had a 13 month old one of these processed, hanging weight was 220kg which we were pretty impressed with!

Accurate representation of how we all feel today ๐Ÿ˜ด

Funnily enough, out of all the questions we get asked about our Longhorns - over the 3 days of farm world the top question we got was about Chips eyebrows.

Some people thought we put them there on purpose ๐Ÿคฃ

Truth is, Chip was actually in our first ever drop of home bred calves, and we were elated to find this adorable little snow ball with black features.

The picture here is from the day he was born! Perfect black nose, black tipped ears and a stunning pair of (natural!) eyebrows ๐Ÿฅน

As you can see in the third photo, his Mum HBL Cherry-O also has some striking eyebrows. She has passed them on to 3 calves so far!
