🚨 BIG VALICHA CAFE UPDATE! 🚨

The final countdown is officially on! 🇵🇪☕🎉

We're excited to share that the transformation of Valicha Peruvian Brunch Cafe at 125 Herries Street is almost complete!

✅ Signwriting is done
✅ Deep cleaning is complete
✅ Painting is finished
✅ Cabinetry is installed ✅ Kitchen works are all wrapped up
✅ Council approvals done

And most importantly... our coffee machine is now dialled in to absolute perfection! ☕👌

Today we also fired up the ovens and baked our very first test-run Chocolate Mud Cake 🍫🎂.

The verdict?

It was a massive hit with the other businesses and staff in the complex, earning plenty of thumbs up all round! 👍👍👍

At this point, we're down to the fun stuff – a little tidying, decorating, and filling the shelves with stock ready for opening day and a little time cooking the menu and dialing the kitchen in on point.

We can honestly say... we're VERY close now! 😍

So here's the big question...

A Dream in the Making: From Gazebo to Cafe!
🇵🇪✨🇦🇺

​Today is a day we will never forget. It’s been four years since we - Melisa and Phill started this journey from absolutely nothing—just us and a two gazebo's at the PCYC Sunday Markets.

After three amazing years on the road in our food van, we finally realized a dream we’ve held close to our hearts from the very beginning.

​Today, it all became real.

The first part of our Valicha Peruvian Cafe signage officially went up, and we couldn't be more proud or excited!

(Seriously, how amazing does it look?! 😍)

​We are so grateful to everyone in the Toowoomba community who has supported our journey from those early market days to now... some of you since Day 1! ❤️

We can't wait to welcome you into our permanent home soon!

We will never forget them 💜

Lest we forget. 🇦🇺🇵🇪

​Today, we pause to honor the incredible sacrifice, courage, and resilience of our ANZACs.

We remember those who served, those who fell, and the families who endured their absence. We reflect on their struggles and the spirit of mateship that defines the Australian identity—a spirit that has paved the way for the life we are so grateful to lead today.

​At Valicha, our house is a proud blend of two vibrant worlds.

On days like today, we feel especially lucky to celebrate the intersection of our Peruvian roots and our deep Australian pride.

Australia welcomed Melisa and her children and gave them a place to grow, and Phill carries the ANZAC spirit of perseverance and community in everything we do.

​Whether you’re spending the day at a dawn service, with family, or over a shared meal, let’s take a moment to be thankful for the peace and freedom we enjoy granted by those who fave so much.

Hi everyone! 👋

We’ve been a little quiet on Facebook over the past couple of weeks, and we apologise for that - but it’s been for a great reason!

We’ve been very busy preparing and catering for weddings and special occasions. 💍✨🎂

Throughout April we’re fully booked with wedding catering every weekend, and the preparation work for those actually starts from very early Thursday preparing everything in advance to make sure each event runs perfectly. 🗓️👨‍🍳

Recently we had the privilege of catering multiple weddings, one in Toowoomba and two in Warwick, and we’re very grateful to be trusted to be part of such special celebrations. ❤️🎉

Because of this schedule it has been a bit difficult for us to do our usual weekend pop-ups, but we are still working hard behind the scenes. 🚚🔥

Thank you to everyone who continues to support and follow us.
