We’ve worked out a way to deliver easy and delicious smoked meal solutions without artificial colours, flavours, preservatives, nitrates, nitrites, thickeners, gums, or acidity regulators! Locally sourced produce is injected with preservative free apple-juice and smothered with in-Haus prepared rubs/spices/sauces, before wood-smoking. The products are then sliced/pulled/sauced and vacuum packed for a food-safety sous-vide stage before cooling and packing. The result: great tasting foods, sourced and made locally, ready in minutes, with no nasties, with stacks of 10-20 minute recipe ideas .

Darling Downs Dark brings cocoa, locally roasted coffee and real wood smoke. Honey Smoked Habanero layers local honey, habanero and garlic for a sweet heat that builds. No flavour enhancers in either.

Hard to believe, but it’s been five whole years since we started DF Smoke Haus, and in that time we’ve had so many great chats, swapped a lot of cooking tips, and received some incredible feedback from you, our community.

We’ve heard from people who’ve told us how our products have made weeknight dinners easier, BBQs tastier, and weekends just that little bit more satisfying.

Over the years, we’ve noticed a few familiar faces among our favourite customers:

– The meal-planning parent: busy Mums and Dads just trying to get dinner on the table that everyone will eat (bonus points that it saves time and is actually healthy).
– The solo cook or couple who want meals that are easy, delicious, and convenient for one or two people.
– The flavour chaser who’s passionate about experimenting with new tastes, firing up the smoker, and making magic happen at the BBQ.
– The self-catering crew feeding a hungry household or small crowd, and doing it with style, convenience and flavour.

Cheesy garlic pizza = instant crowd pleaser 🤤

One of our customers whipped this up with just:
• ½ tsp DF Smoke Haus Salt Garlic & Pepper
• 1 tbsp butter
• cheese + pizza base

Mix the SGP through the butter, spread it on the base, top with cheese and bake until golden. Add extra SGP if you’re a serious garlic lover 😏

Dangerously easy for your next BBQ, entree or Friday night snack.

Two biltong, two very different bites.

Darling Downs Dark is smoky, earthy and savoury, with cocoa and locally roasted coffee through it. Honey Smoked Habanero is sweet first, then the heat builds, and it took home a National Gold Medal at the Australian Charcuterie Excellence Awards 2026.

🎂 Today is our 5th Birthday! 🎂

We’re calling it Five Years of Flavour, because we keep coming up with new deliciousness and we’re not about to stop!

We have just clicked over 145,000 units made, and it’s feeling good.

(What’s even more amazing is that at our 4th birthday we had just ticked over 100,000 units total… meaning we’ve produced another 45,000 units in the last 12 months alone — a 45% increase in just one year!)

Karen and I deeply thank Albert, Ellen and Alice for helping us along. We also thank all those that have shared, supported, and promoted our journey.

It’s crazy times, this isn’t easy, and every little bit helps more than you know.

So here’s to many more Birthdays to come!
