Imperial Peanut butter Jelly Time “specialty b**r” - code for a stout/ale combo deal - from Ross Kenrick

The first sip smashes you with the 14.5%, but then everything mellows nicely. There’s plenty of nutty goodness and coffee with a strong candy sweetness. Don’t be mistaken though - there’s a bit of booziness to remind you you’re playing with the big boys today.

So good … Bacchus know how to make a stout. I need more to review!

I found this can of Labyrinth West Coast IPA from 𝗝𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝘀 𝗕𝗮𝘆 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼. that was lost in the back of my fridge.

Some solid grapefruit and citrus to balance out the malt and resin.

This Is Now from Brisbane craft b**r legends Range Brewing . The can says IPA, but it’s dancing on the edge of being a New England.

Super hazy, light in colour and fruit juice in a glass! I got passionfruit, stone fruit and lime, wrapped up in citrus blanket of goodness.

As usual, a great b**r from the kings of hazy b**rs.

Welcome to Paradise west coast IPA Brisbane’s Favourite Brewery and Pizza🍻🍕 in Brisbane.

It’s a dank brew this one, with big pine and resin aromas greeting you when you approach. Taste wise prepare yourself - pine, resin and citrus are here in large quantities. As too is bitterness, just like you expect from a WCIPA.

Paradise indeed!

Shifting Gears Hazy IPA from Brisbane craft b**r brewery Slipstream Brewing Co. - perfect AFL grand final b**r!

Extremely tropical, with flavours of passionfruit, peach, citrus and Some sneaky berry. It’s a glorious b**r with some sharpness at the tail end. Pale, almost pineapple juice colour in the glass. Get in and grab some while you can.

What a collaboration - Carbon 6 Brewing and Hiker Brewing Co. Hoposphere west coast IPA.

This is a legitimate, no compromise, old school west coast! Sooooooo much pine, grapefruit and resin, and a massive bitterness hit! This is a b**r that truly represents what a WCIPA is - big, bold, punchy and brilliant.

Hope Estate F11.1% Jet Black IIIPA is a MASSIVE black IPA.

It pours a very dark brown/black with a thick tan head.

This b**r is all about a few of things :
- malty, smoky goodness
- resin and pine flavours
- a tonne of bitterness.

It hits like a missile, but mellows as the glass empties. If you want a session b**r…keep moving. If you’d prefer a b**r to sip on to end the night though, look no further.

Range Brewing “Burger” triple IPA - the third b**r in the 2026 birthday series.

The team must have gone crazy with the hops with this one - it’s soft and tropical from start to end with fruit punch vibes exploding in your mouth. For a 10% TIPA, the hop burn is well controlled. The b**r is trademark Range Brewing level hazy, a juice bomb and just top quality.

The Brisbane brewery never disappoints.

Volume 2 of Full Metal Jacket from Blackflag Brewing

Like most limited release b**rs from the Sunshine Coast crew, this b**r hides the ABV well while tasting special and unique. FMJ is extremely clean, clear and well carbonated, with some relatively mild, but present, bitterness. It’s well balanced making difficult to choose a dominant flavour between the pine, grapefruit, citrus and malt. All the flavour combine seamlessly to produce an enjoyable, approachable west coast IPA.
