Hey everyone, I’m excited to finally share a big update: I'm slowly evolving from Surfcoast Picnic Co to Kyn Folk. After 4.5 incredible years, it’s time for a change that reflects where I am today. The platters served us well during lockdown and beyond, but as the times and my mindset have shifted, so too has my focus—to upscale, thoughtfully curated gift hampers.
The new brand: Kyn Folk is all about family and community. “Kyn” means family, representing our close-knit circle of passionate local suppliers and the families we love to gift. “Folk” represents my loyal tribe of customers who share my commitment to supporting small businesses along the Great Ocean Road. With this new name, we will continue to deliver high-quality, unique hampers that you won’t find everywhere else—all made with heart and authenticity.
While our new venture focuses on gift hampers under Kyn Folk, Surfcoast Picnic Co is still here to serve your weekend picnics for now. Our promise remains unchanged: affordable, premium gifts paired with outstanding customer service and genuine connections.
