Winter Series | Part 1 – Reds 🍷
As the cooler weather has well and truly arrived, we’re turning our attention to reds with depth, structure and plenty of food-pairing appeal.
This first Winter Series lineup brings together Pinot Noir, Shiraz, Malbec, Cabernet Franc, Sangiovese and Nebbiolo. All with their own take on texture, savoury detail and winter drinking.
For two of these wines, it’s the end of an era. The Marcus Hill Pinot Noir and Dinny Goonan Shiraz are both limited stock, with no further vintages to follow. Once they’re gone, they’re gone.
Pinot Noir – spicy, dark cherry and plum with fine tannins
Shiraz – juicy black fruits, pepper, spice and silky tannins
‘The Meddler’ Malbec – medium to full bodied, ripe red fruit and beautifully structured
Cabernet Franc – savoury, herbal and intense with blackcurrant and firm tannins
Sangiovese – bright, savoury and fresh with sour cherry, dried herbs and fine tannins
Nebbiolo – elegant and autumnal with dried herbs, rose petals, mushroom and firm tannins
These are reds your customers will come back for again and again.
