High tech, huge budgets, huge data. And Formula 1 is still a celebration of the driver, the team and the fans.

That idea landed on the way home from a business development course in Melbourne this week, where the conversation turned to AI. Used well, it's genuinely remarkable. Calculations, quotes and policies that used to take days can now take minutes, and that's a real win.

What it won't do is remove the need for human connection. Not inside a business, and definitely not with the customers we serve.

The tools get faster. The relationships are still what decide whether a business works.

May we never forget that in our fast paced businesses.

Sometimes, the smallest moments reveal the greatest wonders.

These three little plover chicks had become “stuck” on the road, unable to get up and over the gutter to safety. Despite the understandably vocal protestations of their parents, the chicks were carefully lifted and placed out of harm’s way.

Their remarkable camouflage: and instinct to freeze and hide when threatened: was a beautiful reminder of how brilliantly nature equips and protects its creatures.

It’s worth making space in our lives to regularly interact with, appreciate and protect the awesomeness of Creation. Whether it’s noticing wildlife, spending time outdoors or simply pausing to observe the natural world, these moments help us remember how much there is to cherish.

Let’s tread gently, look carefully and do our part to protect the incredible life around us.

Some water applications are genuinely tough on membranes, and this one is right up there.

It’s great to see our Eureka UltraFiltration membranes still performing strongly in a difficult, high-scaling, high-solids water application. These units are interchangeable with Dow UF membranes, providing a straightforward option that remains cost-effective, even in demanding, high-fouling conditions.

Ultrafiltration is a critical barrier ahead of reverse osmosis. When it performs reliably in challenging water, it helps protect downstream equipment, support consistent system performance and reduce replacement costs.

Senior Plumber / Water Treatment Technician (QBCC Nominee)
Townsville based | Full-time, permanent

This is more than a tools role. We're after an experienced plumber who wants to help grow the business: building our wastewater and water treatment work across North Queensland, winning new customers and shaping how the field side of Eureka Water & Filtration develops. That's why profit share is part of the package for the right candidate.

What you'll be doing:
• Helping grow our plumbing and wastewater work, including scoping jobs, quoting and building customer relationships
• Installing and commissioning treatment plants, oil/grease separators and water recycling systems, including on mine sites
• Leading and developing a small crew, including apprentices
• Acting as our QBCC Nominee Supervisor

You'll need:
• Current QLD plumbing and drainage licence
• QBCC licence eligible for Nominee Supervisor
• Wastewater experience
• Driver licence, and happy to travel regionally with some overnight stays
• Able to meet mine site access requirements
• The drive to build something, not just turn up to jobs

A reliable potable water supply starts with the right treatment system.

Eureka Water & Filtration recently upgraded a domestic site with a new 5,000-litre-per-day reverse osmosis system, providing increased capacity and high-quality treated water for potable use.

The project included decommissioning the old RO system and installing the larger system to fill the customer’s existing supply tank. We also added remineralisation to help restore a balanced mineral profile after RO treatment.

To make the most of the existing infrastructure, the treated water continues to pass through the original filter and UV disinfection system supplied by Eureka years ago.

The result is a tailored water treatment upgrade that improves supply capacity while retaining suitable existing equipment: delivering a practical, reliable solution for the customer’s needs.

Trade waste treatment is all about controlled, reliable compliance.

Eureka Water & Filtration is currently installing a purpose-designed trade waste pH correction system for a client in Townsville. The system receives acidic trade waste and uses controlled caustic dosing to neutralise the water and help the client meet its environmental discharge licence and council requirements.

The process is straightforward and carefully managed:

• Trade waste is collected in a batch tank.
• pH is continuously monitored.
• Caustic is dosed in controlled amounts to avoid overshooting into high-pH conditions.
• Once the batch is within the required range, it can be discharged.
• Filtration can also be incorporated where solids removal is required.

By combining practical treatment design with automated monitoring and control, the system provides a simple, reliable way to manage trade waste before discharge.
