This cake started with two instructions… and absolutely no self control.

It was ordered as a surprise for one of my repeat snack pack customers, who clearly knows her very, very well.

Because there were only two instructions:
• Vanilla cake
• Vanilla icing

She absolutely refuses to even attempt my chocolate cake (which is personally devastating because it’s my favourite).

And then the best part… ‘You have full creative control!’

So I did what any sensible person would do and absolutely leaned into the vanilla-but-make-it-extra situation. Pearls, bows, piping, sparkle - the works! ✨

For Bakes Sake, if you’re going vanilla, you don’t have to be boring about it 😉

A little spontaneous Sip & Swirl is popping up, because why not?

If you’ve been waiting for a sign to come decorate a cake, drink something fun and spend a couple of hours laughing with a bunch of lovely humans, then this is it!

No experience required. No perfection required. Just cake, music, buttercream and a room full of people having a good time.

If February taught us anything, it’s that things can get slightly chaotic, very creative and extremely fun.

I honestly didn’t expect the hidden cake hunt to turn into what it did.

Seeing families out searching walking tracks together, hearing that whole work departments were helping solve the clues, and watching the theories roll into my DMs was the best part!

Some of you were VERY close.
Some of you were confidently wrong.
And I loved every single one of those guesses.

She’s soft. She’s fancy. She’s quietly showing off.

This was one of the first cake enquiries I received for this year. The kind of enquiry where the colours and inspo stick in your brain for months. Purple, pink, gold, fresh florals… I’ve been waiting to see this one come to life.

And honestly, she did not disappoint.

Some cakes just exist peacefully, minding their own business. They don’t yell for attention, but they’re definitely getting it.
