Congratulations to Simon Lawlor & Sonya Lawlor from Upper Livingstone, Omeo on winning the Herefords Australia best-presented pen of steers. The Lawlor’s offered 170 steers at the annual mountain calf sales and sold for $2070- We are thrilled to have Sugarloaf genetics in these calves.

Recent rain has transformed Mountain Calf sales fortunes as the best-presented Hereford steers fetch above $2000 at Omeo, while Bairnsdale prices weren’t far behind.

We are thrilled to share that our Top Price Bull, Lot 1 – Sugarloaf Validate V204 (H), sold for an outstanding $35,000 to Lotus Herefords .

Purchased in partnership for $28,000 was Lot 9 – Sugarloaf Valentine V261 (H) by two great Hereford Studs; Jindalee Herefords and Nunninong Herefords.

The standout Top Price Female, Lot 31 – Sugarloaf Delight V252 (H), was secured for $10,000 by Gemma McNamara of Beltana Herefords.

We couldn’t be more pleased with the strong support shown throughout the sale, producing an average of $10,650- for the bulls and $5,667- average for females sold. Shout out to Nutrien Stud Stock - Southern Region - Pete Godbolt and the team for their sale assistance.

A huge thank you to all buyers, underbidders, and to the many past and present clients who continue to back our program year after year. Your confidence in our stud is something we truly value.
