Like many of you, we were sad to hear the news that the Commercial Hotel will be closing its doors from 2nd August ahead of its exciting redevelopment.
We've genuinely loved being part of the Commercial family over the past few months and can't thank the owners, staff and everyone who has supported us enough. The welcome we've received has meant the world to us.
With just over two weeks to go, we'd love to see as many familiar faces as possible before the doors close.
We'll be in the kitchen Wednesday to Saturday from 5pm, cooking all your Sampson's favourites while we help give the Commercial the send-off it deserves.
If you've been meaning to come in, now's the perfect time. Bring your family, catch up with friends, enjoy a great meal and raise a glass to a pub that has been part of the Warragul community for generations.
A huge thank you to everyone who has dined with us, ordered takeaway or simply stopped by to say hello. We truly appreciate your support and can't wait to see you over these final weeks. β€οΈ
Itβs time to call stumps at the Mershβ¦ for now.
The Commercial Hotel Warragul will be closing its doors from Sunday, 2 August, with the pub set to undergo extensive renovations before reopening in 2027.
But before we do, we want to celebrate the pub that's been part of our community for so many years⦠Join us over the next few weeks for one last beer, one more pub feed, and a proper send-off.
πΊ For our final three Saturday Nights, we're turning things up with a monster party every weekend - just how the Mersh does bestβ¦ Grab your mates, raise a glass, and help us give the Mersh as we know it, the farewell it deserves.
π Sampson's Kitchen will be cookinβ Wednesday to Saturday nights for our final weeks, serving all your favourites.
To our staff, our regulars and everyone who's walked through our doors over the years - thank you. Your support, stories, and memories have made this pub what it is.
See you at the bar π»
(and before the rumour-mil runs wild - NO the pub is NOT being; turned into government housing, forced to close or knocked down π)
