A little change for Eight9Five Desserts 💕🧁

After a lot of thought, I’ve made the decision to no longer take custom cake orders.

Between working, mum life and running Eight9Five Desserts, it has become harder and harder to find the time that custom cakes deserve. Cakes take a huge amount of time, energy and planning, and rather than closing my books completely, I’ve decided it’s time to cut back and focus on the parts of the business that fit better into my life.

But we’re definitely not going anywhere! 🩷

I’ll still be taking custom orders for cupcakes, sugar cookies and sweet/treat boxes, as well as continuing our special releases for occasions throughout the year.

And if I’m being completely truthful… I’m actually really excited to put more focus back into cupcakes! 🧁 I LOVE playing around with flavours, fillings and combinations and getting that perfect balance. There’s something much more enjoyable about creating a new cupcake flavour than stressing over whether a three-tier cake is perfectly level! 😂

To every single person who has trusted me with a birthday cake, celebration cake or special occasion over the years — thank you. It genuinely means so much that you chose my little business to be part of those moments.

This isn’t goodbye to Eight9Five Desserts — it’s simply making the business a little smaller, a little more manageable, and allowing me to keep creating without stretching myself too thin.

Thank you for continuing to support me, my family and this little business of mine. 🩷

As we head off on a much-needed family trip to Western Australia, Eight9Five Desserts is officially taking a little break from the kitchen! 🩷✈️

From now until October 10, no new orders will be accepted and our inboxes won’t be monitored. It’s time to switch off, spend some quality time together and enjoy a well-earned holiday.

But don’t worry… we’ll be back before you know it, ready for a HUGE end to the year!
