As he who won’t be named would say - here’s some information for your book of BS! 🥂

When wine people talk about terroir, this is part of what they mean.

The soil beneath the vines plays an important role in how our grapes grow and, ultimately, contributes to the character of the wine.

Our vines are planted in deep red basalt soils, and right now we’re very happy to see plenty of moisture in the profile. After a cold, wet winter, it’s exactly what we want to see as we head towards the growing season.

Happy Saturday 🥂

The newest members of the farm look pretty happy with their view and for us this view never gets old.

For us wine is more than what's in the glass. It's our craft, our tradition and our connection to our farm and a way of celebrating the moments that matter. 🥂

Whatever your why, cheers 🥂

For us, wine has always been part of life's special moments, celebrating milestones, catching up with friends, or simply slowing down at the end of a busy week. It's about connection, conversation, and sharing time with the people you love. 🥂

Whether it's family gathered around the table, friends enjoying a simple cheese board, or sharing a glass of your favourite Wondalma Vineyard wine, it has never really been about extravagance. It's about appreciating the simple things and creating moments worth remembering.

Here's to good food, great company, and memories that linger long after the last glass has been poured.

Have a lovely weekend 🥂

Pruning is about more than shaping a vine, it’s about renewal, sustainability, and giving our 35 year old vines the best chance to thrive for many seasons to come. This process helps combat trunk disease and encourages healthy growth. By doing the work now we’re investing in the future of our vineyard, one vine at a time. 🍇

Side note … Winnie does not like the chainsaw 🐾

These crisp mornings are what make our wine region special. The frosty winter mornings aren’t just beautiful, they're one of the reasons our wines are so elegant and vibrant. During the growing season the cooler temperatures allow the grapes to ripen slowly, developing fresh natural acidity and delicate flavours that make Tumbarumba wines, especially our Chardonnay so distinctive. 🥂❄

Sometimes the cold really is worth it, and it’s an invigorating way to start your day!

I took these photos on my morning run last week, I had to look twice to see what was grazing in the front paddock! 🦌🏃‍♀️

We're thinking of the wine growing communities in France, Italy and Spain as they face the devastation of wildfires.

As a farming family, we know how much heart and soul goes into every vineyard. Seeing images of vineyards, homes and landscapes under threat brings back memories of the 2020 bushfires here at home.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all the families, growers and communities affected. Wishing you strength, safety and hope in the days ahead. 🙏🕊
