Hey I’m Em 👋🐑

With so many new faces around lately I thought I’d reintroduce myself for those who might not know me yet.

I’ve been shearing for 14 years now and have been lucky enough to travel all around Australia — and even overseas — thanks to this industry. What started with packing suitcases and chasing work has now turned into building a life and business here on the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria.

These days I specialise in hobby farm shearing and honestly, I couldn’t ask for better clients or communities to work with. I absolutely love sharing knowledge around sheep, farming, landcare and the way our seasons and environment affect the animals we care for. Watching people learn, grow and achieve their farming dreams gives me a real buzz.

Farming has shaped who I am. Sheep, landcare, hard work and muddy boots are a huge part of my world. My two dogs are my best mates and “employee of the month” can be a pretty competitive title around here 😅

Off the farm, I’m also a devoted first responder and take a lot of pride in serving my community. My family and friends mean everything to me and being the chaotic aunty to my four nephews is one of my favourite jobs of all.

I love a laugh, my language definitely isn’t PG, and I’m a big believer in grabbing life by the horns and seeing where it takes you. Also — you’ll never catch me owning white clothes because I simply cannot be trusted to keep them clean 😂

Anyway… this is me 💚

Thanks for following along and supporting this little corner of my life. Every like, comment, message and share genuinely means so much to me.

Let’s see where this journey takes us 🐑🌱

Lice might be tiny, but they’re a massive pain in the backside for our stock. Constant itching, rubbing and irritation can pull condition off animals fast, affecting body weight, wool quality and overall health. They spend less time grazing and resting, and more time trying to escape the annoyance.
Heading into the colder months, keeping stock comfortable is one of the best things we can do for them. Knocking over issues like lice gives animals the best chance to put energy into growth, maintaining condition and producing quality wool instead of battling irritation all day long.
Healthy, comfortable sheep are happier sheep — and they’ll always perform better because of it.

If you find this video helpful please like and share to others. Alternatively if you have any questions, pop them in the comment section and ill do my best to answer them.

Tidying up a few store lambs in fast forward.
The old trust the gate trick, only to have the stock push out... never gets old 🫠

Girls in sports 💪🐑

I preach so much about what this industry has given me — the places it’s taken me, the people I’ve met, the work ethic it’s instilled in me.

But what I hardly talk about is the confidence it’s given me. The confidence to trust my body, back myself, and keep pushing the line of self growth, respect, and understanding.

Ag has taught me that strength doesn’t always look the same — sometimes it’s muddy boots, early mornings, hard yarns and going back into that pen regardless.

Here’s to shearing / farming💚🌱🐑
The most elite and broadest sports I can think of.
