Supporting Australian Wool!

The wool market is showing signs of picking up, and while there’s still a way to go to get back to pre-COVID levels, I want to do my bit to help this beautiful fibre find its purpose again.

This season, I’m happy to take on a little extra work and take wool that meets market requirements, in the hope of helping growers and supporting an industry that’s given me so much.

🌧️ Today, I’m letting nature set the pace.

I’m not here to fight the forecast — I’ll always adjust my rhythm to work with it. A few jobs have had to move around today, with 3 out of 4 unable to shed their sheep, but that’s farming! The weather is one thing you learn to work with, not against.

✂️ 2026 shearing season is well and truly in full swing!
-A little rain after shearing isn't going to hurt your animals at all. And i always allow days for the wet weather and rescheduling.

Today’s rain gave me some extra time to enjoy my mummas.
Sometimes the best farming days are the ones where you’ve got nowhere else to be, allowing you time to quietly sit and watch your stock.

It’s these little gifts of time that make my heart happiest. 🌧️🐑

I dont have favourites, but I do have only one Woolyface 😉

For those of you who already know Woolyface… I’m pleased to report that the old girl and I had our annual catch-up and photo this week.

She’s doing beautifully in retirement, being absolutely spoilt by her new family and continuing to supervise the place with that same charismatic attitude she’s always had. 😂

For those who don’t know her, Woolyface was one of my original mummas. I retired her three years ago, and I’m beyond grateful that a very good client of mine took her in and gave her a beautiful new home.

Woolyface is the one who’d always come over for a stickybeak.
The one who’d lead the entire mob on a detour to the holding pen.
The one who somehow became the designated babysitter for every lamb in the paddock.
And the one with a BAAA so unique I’m still yet to hear another sheep quite like it. 😂

She makes me happy.
And honestly, Woolyface will always been a pretty good reminder that you should 100% always be your authentic self…

Some animals are livestock.
Some become part of the family.
And some… just become your Woolyface. ❤️

I want to meet YOUR special animals.
