A little update from That Local Joint 💛

As That Local Bee Sanctuary moves into its next stage, so are we.

Over the past little while, That Local Joint has helped establish the onsite White Van café while the Sanctuary has been taking shape. The next step is for the White Van to have its own dedicated operator who can make the café their own and grow alongside everything happening at the Sanctuary.

For That Local Joint, this means continuing to focus on what we love doing — markets, events, catering, pop-ups and getting the Red Van out into the community.

We’re not going anywhere. We’ll still be neighbours at the site and we’re excited about the opportunities for the businesses to continue working alongside each other.

There’s also plenty of potential for collaboration with whoever takes on the White Van — through our existing local supplier and contractor relationships, combined purchasing of coffee and sustainable consumables, and future events and community activities.

The Bee Sanctuary will be sharing the White Van opportunity shortly, and we’d love our community to help us find someone fantastic.

If you know a great café operator, barista or food business looking for their next opportunity, keep an eye out and please tag or share with them. ☕🐝

☕ Café & Workshop Update

Our onsite White Van café will remain temporarily closed due to unexpected circumstances.

Unfortunately, this also means our upcoming Wicking Bed Workshop will need to be postponed. We’ll share a new date as soon as we’re able to reschedule it.

Thanks so much for your understanding and patience. 💛

We’ll have an update to share with you next week about the next chapter for the café, and we’re looking forward to telling you more then. 🐝☕
