This lovely blue tongue is going home today. She’s incredibly active now and even learnt to open her enclosure door!! She’ll be happy to be home. 😊

He he is!!🥰.
This sweet little boy is today's rescue. His mum must have gotten a fright or been chased because he was tipped from her pouch! Wallabies use this tactic as a form of defense. The idea being that they can have another joey. As they are small, they can't outrun predators like the larger macropods. So throwing the joey both lightens the load and is also a decoy so mum can get away. In saying that, I have also seen mums return later looking for their babies!! Swamp wallabies and Red Necked wallabies are both known to use this survival mechanism.
This dear, little fellow is a Swamp wallaby!!

If your near there ! Go for it.
Our wildlife is important. Improving our lives living with wildlife on the lands we cherish.
At the end if the day our wildlife don't really eat much. Same same as cows (roos actuallyeat way way less than cows) = grazers on grasses and they clear out tracks.
