Most people see dishes. We see two to four hours of our night being given back to us. 🥹🤍

A catering day can already be 16 hours long. When a venue allows us to wash our dishes in their kitchen, it means we don’t have to take everything back and spend another two to four hours cleaning after the job is finished.

That opportunity doesn’t come often, so what might seem like simple access to a sink is a huge blessing to us.

We’ll always wash up, wipe everything down and honour the space we’ve been trusted with.

Thank you to every venue and venue manager who has opened their kitchen to us, we’ll never take it for granted. 🤝

Four years ago, Hakeem Haas Payne was the first NRL player to reach out to Island Cookhouse Catering.

That one connection helped get our name recognised and opened doors for our small family business within the NRL community. He may never fully realise what that meant to us, but we’ll always remember it.

Tonight marked his final home game as a Brisbane Bronco.
