Spiny Gardenia (Randia moorei) - an endangered species from nensw and seqld threatened by many things primarily habitat loss.
Whilst not locally uncommon, it is a nondescript shrub often overlooked. In this valley, several have met their end due to farmers clearing their land.
The flowers are fragrant and it’s worth growing in gardens due to it’s manageable size.
Special plant such as the Spiny Gardenia can be viewed in the extensive gardens we have on the property. Just reach out and arrange a time to meet. Tours and the nursery is by appointment only.

NQ Davo Plum “Kimberley” - a selection of Davidsonia pruriens that’s true to type, produces large fruit reliably of an elongated shape and tapered base. Large distinctive leaves differing from other typical pruriens. Most certainly a favourite of ours in the orchard.

Chain Ribbonroot Orchid (Taeniophyllum muelleri) - a very small orchid that photosynthesises through its roots. Seen here clinging to the trunks of NSW Davidsons Plum (Davidsonia jerseyana) planted in our orchards.

There are quite a few of these Orchids colonising the Plums that were planted in September 1999. We make sure these are protected and preserved during our farm maintenance works, embracing all aspects of nature, forming part of our “regenerative farming ethos”.

🌿 Today, 10 rainforest properties covering more than 25 hectares of irreplaceable lowland rainforest have been formally dedicated as Daintree National Park (CYPAL) and returned to the care of their Traditional Owners, the Eastern Kuku Yalanji people.

Nine of these properties sit on Aunty Lyn's Bubu - her Country:⁠ "It's what the ancestors would have wanted. It's what I want to see,⁠ Bama (people) caring for Bubu (Country). Having this Bubu returned to Bama allows healing⁠ to occur. It gives me hope for the future."⁠
