It’s wild to think that these tiny creatures quietly keep our world blooming while we go about our lives. Next time you see a bee buzzing past, give it a little smile, it’s probably on flower number 4,872.

Happy Easter honey lovers
We're open this Easter every day 10am to 4pm @ 231 Range Road North, Upper Hermitage for fresh seasonal local raw honey. We have Honeycomb back available again, with a new larger box approximately 400-500g. Honeycomb cost based on weight of the box. Runny & Firm honey 1 kg for $16.00, or 500g $8.50.
If you can't make it this weekend, then feel free to message us and we can arrange another time to visit, or local delivery to TTG council area or Houghton /Hermitage/ Paracombe. The weather is looking lovely and pleasant this weekend so the bees will be busy out and about. We hope you all get time to enjoy the fresh air and beautiful Adelaide hills also.

Our beautiful pollinators are facing a tough time this year. A particularly dry winter left flowers with very little nectar, and the dry conditions have persisted through the summer. The heat and lack of water have left our bees thirsty and struggling.

You may have noticed bees attempting to drink from water bowls, only to accidentally fall in and drown. To prevent this, we’ve added stones to our water bowls, providing a safe landing spot for the bees. Since making this simple change, we haven’t seen any more drowning incidents.

Our bees would greatly appreciate it if you could do the same! Simply place some stones in your water bowls to help them stay safe and hydrated.

Rush Hour on eucalyptus flowers. Yes the eucalyptus are flowering at home and the bees are busy, but there's not a lot of nectar in them. Honey bees are struggling in the hills due to the dryer than normal winter and following seasons this year. So if you like hills honey get in quick while there is some about!. We're open Saturday 25th through to Monday 27th Jan 10am to 4pm each day at 231 Range Road north, Upper Hermitage, SA 5131. Are you looking for something different? Ask to try our Lavender honey, it's a blend of honey steeped in dried lavender flowers, filtered and will be bottled in a couple of weeks. Put your order in quickly as we believe it will sell out fast. With low honey harvest this year it may be the only batch we make until next season. Have a great Australia Day weekend everyone!

Can you spot the bees? yes they are out and about today trying to get as much nectar as they can to make honey, although the dry weather is making it hard for the flowers to produce a lot. Today Saturday 21 December is the last day to grab our Christmas specials of 500g honey with 5cm honey dipper $10.00, and 1kg with 15cm honey dipper $18.50. We're open 10am to 4pm at 231 Range road north, Upper Hermitage. Merry Christmas and hope everyone has a safe, fun, family filled holiday period.
