All the very best Stephen, Alison, Hayden and Rhys… THANKS for being a tremendous supporter of our breeding program over the last 20 years. After buying Charnelle Alex and Zoom in 2006 Bettafield has bought many herd sires from us over the years including another three last year. They have also supported our female sale over the last 20 years with many purchases. We are forever grateful for the support from the Kajewski family.

Hi Everyone,
(The QCL article came out 2 days earlier than I thought so has beat me to the punch!) But for those who haven’t read it, in what has, in same ways, been a long time coming but happened rapidly in the end, we have sold the registered Bettafield Charolais herd.
It is a big chapter of change for us, and we were so sad to see the girls, and their calves, go. You get to know them all personally, as silly as it sounds, and we always love seeing what the new crop of calves bring. We were so blessed to have found a great home for them at the Pisaturo's, a wonderful family, like-minded in our breeding aims and who appreciated the years of central Queensland breeding at Bettafield. We'll certainly miss the social side of sale bull selling and the buzz of seeing the bulls go through the ring, but we will look forward to continuing the one-on-one of selling bulls out of the paddock for years to come.

We would like to sincerely thank Jeff and Raelea Holzwart (Bauhinia Park) for being integral in establishing the joint annual bull sale over 20 years ago, that was held in September at Emerald. Their similar passion in the pursuit, encouragement and long-term friendship can not be priced. And more recently David, Helen, Ben and Gemma Reid (Reids) and James and Aleisha Pisaturo (Veejay Downs) for welcoming us into the Premier Charolais Bull Sale at Gracemere. We have loved every minute of being involved and know it will go from strength to strength. Through the ebb and flow of over 2 decades, the Charolais stud community have been such a supportive base and we are honoured to be part of it.

Thank you also to the Charolais Society of Australia, who’s team behind the scenes have shown nothing but kindness and patience, as each year I try to “get on top of it all”.

To all our amazing clients, long-term and new, some who have continually supported Bettafield from the early days, your support is beyond appreciated and valued. You appreciated we did things a little different and backed our goals for our bulls and that support is the backbone of the stud. Friendships built along the way have meant so much, and probably why we can’t give it up completely. So THANK YOU.

For the coming year we will have the full contingent of bulls and we look forward to catching up with everyone at the Premier Charolais Bull Sale and welcoming you to Bettafield.
