Happy World Milk Day!

Did you know that the colour of milk changes depending on the diet of the cow?
Grass contains beta-carotene which is responsible for the colour. When grass is cut to be turned into hay it loses roughly 80% of it's beta-carotene. So, during winter when there is luscious green grass for the cows, the milk will be richer in colour.

And a special shout-out to all our amazing local dairy farmers who keep us supplied in top quality milk to make the most delightful cheeses just for you!
