Today we welcomed 40 attendees to one of our Virginia farms with PotatoLink.

The day was packed with valuable discussions on soil health, cover crops, seed selection, biofumigation and much more.

A big thank you to Ben, Ian, PotatoLink and Julie from Muirs for sharing their expertise with the group. Everyone left with plenty of insights and muddy boots 🌱🥔

This morning, we welcomed the team from Foodbank Australia to our Virginia site for a tour and morning tea. It was great to meet team members from across the country and provide an insight into our operations before our potatoes and onions make their way into their network.

As Foodbank’s largest donor, we valued the opportunity to share a coffee, connect with the team, and showcase some of the work that happens behind the scenes. It was a fantastic morning spent with an organisation making a meaningful difference in communities across Australia.

We had a great day at Dietitians Unite in Sydney on Friday, showcasing our range of low carb potatoes🥔
We had some fantastic conversations and helped clear up a few common myths:
✔️ Not genetically modified – they're simply a potato variety that naturally has less carbs than other varieties in market.
✔️ Still a good option for people with diabetes – nothing has changed, even without the GI label. The GI Foundation ceased operations, so the label was removed from the packaging.
✔️ Lower in carbs doesn't mean compromising on taste. We know our potatoes are delicious, so attendees were able to take some home and try them for themselves!

These potatoes are cut seed! Because each “eye” can grow into a new plant, one potato can be cut into multiple pieces — meaning more plants from a single seed 🌱🥔

Tasting Australia, you've done it again! What a tasty, vibrant and buzzing 10 days that was. Showcasing our Mitolo Family Farms premium potato range alongside some of Australia’s best chefs was truly a match made in heaven.

It was a great reminder of just how versatile potatoes are, and how the right variety can truly elevate a dish. From crispy roast potatoes and skordalia, to silky purée, fermented potato, hash browns and Yunnan potatoes — sometimes the humble spud isn’t so humble after all.

There’s nothing better than connecting over a plate of delicious food — something Callum Hann does best.
Last Saturday, around 130 people joined our two free Homemade Sessions at Tasting Australia presented by Journey Beyond to pick up potato tips and tricks and, of course, sample every dish along the way.
