New fish, who dis?

We've had a busy few months planning and working on various projects, however in that time, the aquaponics has taken the back seat - until today!

Big shoutout to the Narrabri Fish Farm for supplying 100 Silver Perch - perfect timing to prep the system for the upcoming spring/summer veg season.

For those wondering how the live fish trade works, basically, I put an order in last week, they package and send the fish the following Monday, using bags half filled with water and topped off with straight oxygen before being well sealed. Once the fish are secure in their bag, they're placed in insulated boxes before being express couriered. Today, two days later, there's a knock on the door with the local courier wondering what sort of establishment he's turned up to. It's that simple!

In the meantime, I've checked and adjusted the pH, and revived the bio-filter - making sure we can give these guys the best swimming pool that we can, in the hopes that they can feed our nitrogen cycle for years to come...

G’day growers,

We’ve just finished planting out this year’s onion seedlings in the market garden. The beds have been resting under one of our w**d suppressant tarps from ARK Tarps for a few weeks for a bit of chemical free w**d control, and it’s made for a strong start to the season.

We’re also featuring the new Curl Eco workshirts from Wagga Workwear — really stoked to have these guys onboard and supporting the project.

Big things happening here in Curl’s Corner — including our new Curl Eco work shirts from Wagga Workwear. They’ll be getting a proper workout in the garden, on builds, and in the day‑to‑day filming we do around the block.

Dropped in to see Matt & the team at Wagga Workwear last week — they’ve recently come on board to supply us with some new Curl Eco work shirts, and we’re stoked to have their support.
