This week we have been weaning the lambs born in the first 4 weeks of lambing.
All weaned lambs averaged 65 days of age, this ram lamb is twin born and reared. He weighed 5.1 kg at birth and has averaged over 500 grams per day from Birth to Weaning . He displays the shape and growth we are aiming to breed. We are expecting to wean around 1000 Autumn born lambs av Birth Weight 4.7kg from 730 ewes. All Dams and Sires of these lambs have full pedigree and also have Genomics. The Sires of these lambs average higher than the Top 1% of all terminals breeds in Lamplan for Terminal Carcase Production and we expect their progeny to rank within the Top 10% of Lambplan for TCP.
We are expecting to wean another 400+ lambs from our Spring lambing ewes, the dams are mostly 2025 drop ewe lambs and we know that they will be another level again in terms of genetic merit.
We will have around 600 rams to offer across sales in September and November with private sales always available.

Hitting some personal bests at Kentish Downs lamb tagging.
Have cracked the tonne two days in a row. Gives us over 800 lambs tagged so far this Autumn.
Perfect weather for lambing and some very protective mums makes for a great way to put the day in.
