An uplifting experience to be part of the Hereford Australia National Youth Expo in Goulburn - to see the passion and commitment of all involved was infectious showing Agriculture, beef and Herefords have a bright and exciting future.
Max had a blast showing his steer Wally, and being part of an event where he could meet people who wanted to talk about cattle as much as he did.
Thank you to the committee in particular Tim and Jemma Reid from JTR Cattle Company. To the applicants for the Most Potential Breeder, you didn’t make my job easy, so many great young passionate people that are the next generation of our industry. We would like to thank all the successful purchasers and under bidders at our Yearling Bull Sale today, where we topped at $14000 and averaged $7400. We are very pleased having Lot 5 going to Injemira Beef Genetics, Lot 1 to Newcomen Herefords and Lot 3 to Red Gum Herefords.

Had a great day today at Wirruna Poll Herefords going through 200+ stud W heifers and doing comments with Lockie. Also checking out the heifers was Tobruk TopGun T17, Wirruna's resident senior sire taking pride of place in the house paddock. He looked a million dollars! His progeny and plenty of other performance females will be available at the Wirruna dispersal on the 14th and 15th of October.
