Our cellar door is manned by a small team of Bellarine Peninsula locals who, over the years, have developed an intimate understanding of our region and a deep knowledge of our wines. The team are always keen to talk you through our range of award winning wines, show you around the property or help you decide which wines to take home with you. It seems to sneak up every year, and then it’s over. Just a few weeks to go until all the fruit is picked and handed to our winemakers to do their magic.

We’re thrilled to share that Oakdene has been selected as one of eight Victorian wineries to be showcased at La Cité du Vin in Bordeaux, France, the world’s leading museum dedicated to wine! 🍷

Welcoming over 400,000 visitors a year, the museum immerses guests in global wine culture, giving Victorian producers an incredible opportunity to shine on the international stage.

Our 2021 Bernard’s Cabernets (a Bordeaux-inspired blend) and 2023 Liz’s Chardonnay will be on display, celebrating the quality and diversity of Victorian wine alongside some of our state’s most respected wineries:

Look at that colour…..

Our newest release, 2024 Cabernet Franc. Aromas of red currents, lilac florals, leafy notes and a touch of briar. Medium bodies, plush, with red and blue fruit, dried flowers and leafy undertones. Fine tannins and fresh acidity adding texture, freshness and length.

About last night…

The Geelong Wine Industry Awards are always a highlight of the year. It’s a night where our community of colleagues, winemaking neighbours, and friends come together to celebrate the dedication and craft behind every bottle.

But last night was something truly special for our team.

We were honoured to receive the Trophy for Best Pinot Noir for our 2024 Oakdene Pinot, an achievement we’re incredibly proud of.

And then, in a moment that meant even more, Liz and Bernard were inducted into our region’s Hall of Fame for 25 years of outstanding contribution. A recognition so richly deserved.

It’s a privilege to work for, and alongside, these two, every single day.

Thank you Gail Thomas for recognising and celebrating our local legends year after year.

Oakdene Wines is searching for a fantastic candidate to join our Cellar Door Team at both of our Bellarine Peninsula venues on an ongoing casual basis.

Oakdene is a family-owned business, operating a vineyard and cellar door in both Wallington and Mannerim on the Bellarine Peninsula. We offer guests to our cellar doors an intimate, epicurean experience and a fantastic range of award-winning premium wines.

The successful candidate should offer exceptional customer service and communication skills. Applicants must enjoy and thrive on interactions with customers, have a love for wine and food and flourish in a close-knit, team environment.

A mix of weekdays, weekends & public holiday work will be necessary for this job; with our cellar doors open between the hours of 11am - 4pm. No evenings!

The 2026 Halliday Wine Companion has been released, and Oakdene has once again been awarded the coveted 5 Red Star rating, placing us among the top echelon of Australian wine producers.

In this year’s results, Oakdene received seven Gold ratings (95 - 96 points) across our current vintages (plus a 96 point William Shiraz still to be released) along with four Silver wines (90 - 94 points). Pleasingly, ten of these wines were also recognised with the Red Star for ‘Special Value’. This 2023 Peta's Pinot is 96 points + Red Star.

We’re incredibly proud of our Viticulture and Winemaking team, whose dedication has delivered such outstanding results once again.
