🥚RIR Sexing - vent-sexed (98% accuracy)
🐣Eggs: approximately 330+ eggs per year
🥚Isa Laying Age- approximately 16-18 weeks
🐣RIR Laying Age - approximately 18 weeks
🥚Brown eggs and weigh approximately 63-65 grams
🐣Isa Lifespan - 3 years
🥚RIR Lifespan - 4 years
🐣Feed Requirements: approximately 120-123 grams per day
🥚Vaccinated for Mareks (Rispens), Infectious Bronchitis, Salmonella

My hens are laying so many eggs and I can’t keep up, so I’d rather them go to someone who has space in their incubator or broody hen, instead of filling my fridge.

On Friday afternoon we took some of our eggs to the Perth Royal Show as an exhibit in the 2026 Perth Royal Show Egg Competition.

We entered our eggs for a bit of fun and show off some of our favourite eggs laid by our hens.

We have 5 entries:

It was great to see that so many people had entered their eggs and I can’t wait to go and see them all when we attend the show next week.
