Location: 529 Wanneroo Road, Woodvale WA 6026 Established in 1948 and spanning three generations of winemaking pedigree, Paul Conti Wines is an award-winning boutique, family owned establishment with humble Sicilian origins and an overriding passion for quality. Paul’s father, Charlie, was one of the first vignerons to plant vines on the coastal ‘sand

over limestone’ soils in 1948 and decades later the mature vines have prospered contributing to full bodied, fruit driven wines that exhibit distinctive regional qualities. Known as an industry pioneer, Paul was one of just a handful of producers who in 1968 gained early success with his award winning Mariginiup Shiraz. Today, the iconic wine is still produced and hand-picked from the original shiraz vines planted in 1958, with son Jason at the helm of all winemaking responsibilities. Fruit is entirely hand-picked from family estate and selected vineyards located in Pemberton, the Perth Hills and Margaret River where the Conti family own a vineyard.

Lucky for us, she lives just around the corner, is a huge fan of our wines and loves vino more than life itself!

Here's his critique on our 2024 Nero d'avola...

92/100 Cellar: 5 years

"Given his Sicilian heritage, it's little wonder that Paul Conti has dabbled in Nero d'Avola for some years.

"This is certainly one of the better ones, and despite coming from a very warm year, has retained a degree of restraint, poise and delicacy which is essential, in my view, for Nero.

"Plump red and black fruits, a fine chalky tannin contribution and subtle oak with a decent dollop of dark chocolate and ripe plum.

"It's a rather rich wine, ideal for drinking in the shorter term."

Discreetly tucked underground via a small, singular door, you'll feel instantly transported into a secret cave, flanked in barrels and wine.

Woolly mornings mean pruning season is in full swing, and what a glorious day to be amongst the stillness of the vines.

Closer to home at our Woodvale homestead, Sambo is pruning our small patch of Nero d'avola vines which need a good old trim-back.

Our Nero d'avola has developed a bit of a cult following over the years...we currently have a bottle open for you to try, so why not drop in and see if you too, become a "believer".

We make a 100 percent Malbec you know.

It's pure, juicy Margaret River fruit, sustainably grown at our Cowaramup vineyard.

This is Jason's baby; the wine he always wanted; now he has one to call his own.

Rich, dark and juicy, this plush, aromatic wine exhibits hints of spice and white pepper, layered with notes of plum and mulberry. The perfect bbq drop or casserole accompaniment.

Only $26 per bottle.
