๐พ We're excited to welcome Sally Cunningham to the 2026 AusChem Training Professional Development!
Sally Cunningham, from the National Centre for Farmer Health, has spent many years working alongside Victorian farmers, Landcare and producer groups, supporting stronger communities and more resilient farming businesses.
Since joining the National Centre for Farmer Health in 2021, Sally has connected with farming communities through workshops, podcasts and community events, helping to improve mental health in agricultural workplaces. Her work supporting farmers following floods, fires and drought has also contributed to the development of valuable resources, including the Tackling the Tough Topics guidelines.
At this year's PD, Sally will present "Courageous Conversations: Using your Sphere of Influence to Support Farmer Mental Health."
This practical session will help participants:
โ๏ธ Recognise the signs of stress and distress in farmers.
โ๏ธ Respond with confidence and compassion.
โ๏ธ Know when and where to refer someone for additional support.
โ๏ธ Understand professional boundaries while looking after their own wellbeing.
We're looking forward to having Sally share her knowledge and practical strategies with our attendees.
