The wines of Jean-François Ganevat need little introduction to Jura aficionados, or those with an eye to the natural wine scene. Jean-François transformed his family’s estate, and perhaps the region as a whole, upon his return to Rotalier in 1998 after studying in Beaune and working with Jean-Marc Morey in Chassagne-Montrachet. He decided to ‘faire du vin comme autrefois’ - to make wine like they did in the old days.
Ganevat produces wine from the Jura varieties Savagnin, Chardonnay, Poulsard, Pinot Noir and Trousseau renowned for their complexity and long aging capacity.
We also offer a selection of négociant bottlings Jean-François makes together with his sister, Anne combining Jura fruit with that of other French wine regions.
