We’re looking for a 3rd or 4th Year Apprentice or Qualified Butcher to join the team at Lucas Bros Butchers in Warrnambool.

Last night, the Australian Meat Industry Council hosted the Victorian Meat Excellence Awards night of nights—the 2026 Sausage King Awards—at Rydges Melbourne.

Frank and his lovely wife, Sarah, attended the prestigious awards night and returned home with a little something extra in their luggage! 🏆

With plenty of outstanding entries, the competition was tough, but our small butcher shop from Warrnambool has once again led the way!

We had a special visitor at The Butcher’s Plate today!

Our local MP Roma Britnell stopped by our purpose-built kitchen in Fairy Street, Warrnambool, to have a look behind the scenes and learn more about the meals we’re preparing for our community.

It was great to show Roma through the kitchen and share what goes into our range of ready-made meals, particularly the Aged Care meals we provide for elderly members of our local community.

We’re really proud of what we’re building at The Butcher’s Plate and the opportunity to provide quality, convenient meals to people right here in Warrnambool.
