🐏 HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there!

One sire who has certainly made his mark is Lachlan 220118, who’s fathered 70 sons catalogued in our 2026 On-Property Ram Sale.

Over the past two years, 220118 has been widely used across more than 30 stud and commercial breeding operations. The growing volume of progeny data continues to strengthen his high-accuracy ASBVs and validate the performance, consistency and breeding power we have seen throughout his progeny.

This year represents our largest offering of 220118 sons to date, including ET, AI and naturally conceived progeny, providing breeders with a great opportunity to access these proven genetics.

⭐️ FEATURE RAM – LOT 2

An ET-bred ram with a powerful outlook and exceptional balance. He stands extremely well on his feet, with tremendous width and length, an outstanding hindquarter and exceptional top line.

His wool is top shelf β€” white, well nourished and beautifully aligned, carrying one of the most elite, bold and sharply crimped wools we have ever offered.

Four full flush sisters have been classed into our elite breeding group, highlighting the consistency and depth of this family.

A son of the famous $70,000 Wiringa Park β€˜King’ 220450, Lot 2 combines early growth, elite wool and outstanding balance across all traits. Rarely do we let a ram of this calibre go.

πŸŽ₯ How Lachlan Merinos came to be.

Every stud has a story, and ours has been built over many years through hard work, persistence and a clear direction.

In this video, Glen shares the history of Lachlan Merinos. Where we started, the people and sheep that have influenced us along the way, and how the stud has evolved into what it is today.

Plenty has changed over the years, but the goal has always stayed pretty simple breed balanced, productive Merinos that perform for commercial sheep producers.

A bit of our history, told by Glen.

Reward for persistence! πŸ’ͺπŸ‘

Merino breeders who have maintained a balanced breeding approach over recent years have continued to generate strong returns through sheep and lamb sales, with wool remaining the constant backbone of their enterprises.

Now, with the wool market improving significantly, those persistent breeders are in the box seat to capitalise on the stronger market ahead.

The Merino ewe continues to prove herself as the backbone of the Australian sheep industry, and we see plenty of positivity moving forward, not only for the wool job, but also for the restocker market and continued strength in sheep and lamb prices.

Come along for the ride with Lachlan Merinos as a leading force in producing sheep that help producers capitalise on all markets.

βœ”οΈ Lots of lambs
βœ”οΈ Early growth and carcass
βœ”οΈ Wool with quantity and quality
βœ”οΈ Backed by evidence

Exciting times ahead for the sheep industry.

Buckle up sheep producers!

This week saw the Australian wool market record successive days of strong gains, with the EMI finishing 54 cents higher at 1,934ac/kg and the WMI closing 39 cents firmer at 2,125 ac/kg.

This places the EMI at its highest level since 9th May 2019.

Notably, the market absorbed both the price increases and the firm Australian dollar, indicating underlying demand within the auction system remained strong. This suggests processors and exporters are focused on securing volume.
