Building on the legacy of Knights Nicholas, we breed versatile, athletic campdraft & cow horses with a focus on reined cow horse. Hogan Five Australian Stock Horses - Warwick QLD - Home of Knights Nicholas, multi National and Royal Champion, Open Campdraft & Challenge winner. Consistently producing super athletic types with trainable minds and impeccable temperaments. Nic is no longer available to outside mares however, young stock are available periodically.

There’s been plenty of special horses bred here over the years, but Hogans Nickolita will always be one of our favourites.

She was by Knights Nicholas out of our favourite mare, Ashe Bubbles — a tough, versatile mare with an incredible mind. After being sold as a 2 year old to John and Gwen Lyons, she went on to excel across campdrafting and ASH competition.

Her achievements included Open Campdrafter, Border Zone Open Horse 2014/2015, Balonne Branch High Point Horse, wins at Toowoomba Royal and ASH Nationals, plus two Open Challenge cattle working titles at ASH Nationals.

A mare we’re incredibly proud to have bred, and excitingly, these genetics are still available in our current dispersal offering, with her full sister on offer.

𝗕𝗶𝗴, 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗰𝗵𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗰, Sonic has been set up to draft, challenge, cow horse, or continue on to the cutting pen in the right hands. He is prepped and on track for the 2026 NCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity, or equally ready to go straight to work and start drafting or challenging. He tracks cattle well and catches them with ease.

With 15 months professional training under his belt, Sonic has been well started on cattle, travels smoothly, established lead changes, a big stop, and started on turn arounds. His been hauled to a lot of shows from Rockhampton to Scone and done pre works so is well travelled.

Horses like this don’t come around often. Sonic’s full sisters have competed successfully in the cow horse arena, and in the right hands he is bound to excel.
