Thanks to Lee Biocast from Island Biologicals for organizing this recent zoom and putting it on YouTube, link to video below. Solutions for bouncing back from floods and addressing the winter feed gap

🌱 Looking to get seeds started into vigorous perennial pasture?

Our customer Chris Eggert of Oxhill Organics has been wildly successful getting diverse seeds established in his kikyuyu, couch and paspalum pasture using only Biocast on bare seed. No starter ferts, no poisoning. Check out this 1 minute clip from our recent Farming Revolution chat where he runs through what he does:

🤠❓ We’ve shared a few clips from Chris this week, do you have any questions about starting your seed into perennial pasture?

📷 Chris standing in his ~6 week old planting in April this year, where he used a mix of summer and winter species. Too late for summer, too early for winter, but there they were, all the same height, all flourishing.

FIELD DAY CANCELLED - TOO WET!!

Is autumn feed an issue for you? Or perhaps you have a general interest in finding low-input ways to increase production and soil quality year-round?

This upcoming event is for you!

🌾☘️🌻 Extend Your Growing Season: A paddock walk at Oxhill Organics 🌾☘️🌻

Where: Wauchope, NSW

When: Saturday 10 May

What: Come on an extensive walk through the lush multi-species pastures at Oxhill Organics in Wauchope NSW, and join the discussion around how simple, affordable techniques can have profound benefits to soil and productivity.

We will be exploring themes around 'how long can you carry summer-dominant pasture or crops on the Mid-North Coast of NSW'. Oxhill Organics provides an astonishing example of the smart use of multi species to eliminate any autumn feed gap.

This event continues the series of NSW coastal multi-species forum events. Past participants and newcomers are most welcome.

Chris and Jimmy were lucky enough to be invited as speakers at the Grounded Festival at Fat Pig Farm in Tasmania in December last year. The festival was fantastic and they both really enjoyed it. The team at Grounded have now released videos of all the talks at the Grounded festival on their Youtube channel https://www.youtube.com/

I have added the three talks which Chris and Jimmy were in onto the Oxhill Organics website on the Videos page. Have a look when you have some spare time! Thanks again to GROUNDED Australia for the opportunity for them to speak and for making all the talks freely available!
