This is what happens when I decide to try an artificial flavour instead of doing what I normally do with natural flavours. 😂

Lesson learned. Stick to what I know.

Unfortunately for Sam, somebody still had to try it. 😆

But watching this video made me think I need to brag about this kid for a minute. 🤎

Last week on my birthday, Sam was working alongside me at the trailer. This Thursday, a lovely lady came back to buy more fudge — and made a point of telling me how amazing Sam had been when he served her the week before.

I don't think she realised how much that compliment would mean.

Because this kid is 14.

He gets up at 4am on his weekends to work markets with me. He serves customers, hands out samples, packs, cleans and carries everything. All the other stallholders seem to love him, and he'll happily have a chat with just about anyone.

When I'm making in the trailer, he'll watch his little brothers. He'll see the bin is full and just take it out — without being asked. A 14-year-old boy voluntarily noticing a full bin deserves recognition of its own. 😂

But it's the things outside of the business that make me proudest.

He's the first to pat a teammate on the back when they've made a mistake and the first to celebrate them when they succeed. He genuinely tries to lift the people around him while working towards his own success.

He's not perfect. Of course he isn't. He's 14. He'll make mistakes, get things wrong and undoubtedly drive me completely insane plenty more times.

But he's kind. He's hardworking. He's driven. He wants the people around him to do well. And he's got a bloody good heart.

I get to see all those little things that make up who he is when nobody else is watching.

So when someone comes back a week later just to make sure I know what a great kid he was when I wasn't watching?

That's the stuff that matters. 🤎

Pretty bloody special for 14, I reckon.

Even if being part of OG Fudging Delicious occasionally means being forced to taste Mum's questionable experiments. 😂

Natural flavours from here on out, Sam. Promise. 😆

UPDATE: MR OG CHOC 🍫

Well… I looked.

And looked.

And kept an eye out for every tall brown-haired man who came within 20 metres of the trailer today 😂

Mr OG Choc did not return.

I even made OG Chocolate especially for you, sir.

So now I have questions.

Did he forget?
Did he not see the post?
Has Brisbane swallowed him whole?
Does someone know this man?! 😂

The search continues.

Mr OG Choc, if you're out there… your fudge is waiting. 🍫

🚨 I NEED TO FIND THE MAN WHO DROPPED HIS FUDGE. 🚨

Last Thursday at Cathedral Square, a tall, brown-haired gentleman came up to my trailer and asked for OG Chocolate.

I had to break the news to him that OG Chocolate wasn’t on the August menu.

He was visibly devastated. 😂

And then he told me why.

Apparently, the last time he bought an OG Chocolate Dessert Square, it was a gorgeous day. The sun was shining. Life was good.

He took a little bite…

✨ bliss ✨

One of those perfect little moments where everything is right in the world.

And then…

HE TRIPPED.

And dropped his fudge. 😭

Honestly, the way this man told the story has stayed with me ALL WEEK.

So despite OG Chocolate not being on the menu this month…

I made it.

And I am bringing a piece to Cathedral Square this Thursday specifically for him.

So, tall adorable brown-haired man with the tragic dropped-fudge story…

PLEASE COME BACK.

Your replacement OG Chocolate is waiting for you.

And this time, for the love of God, hold onto it. 😂🍫

Well… apparently we do vegan now. 👀

And she's giving chocolate brownie.

Rich, dark, fudgy, slightly brownie-ish and most importantly — actually bloody good.

Our new Vegan Chocolate Dessert Square is made with dark chocolate, coconut milk, coconut oil and pure maple syrup.

No dairy. No sad substitute dessert energy.
Just a proper chocolate hit that happens to be vegan. 🌱🍫

Vegan Chocolate is now available online and our markets.

The people who want something small enough to be a treat, but dessert enough to actually satisfy the craving.
