Flowers are also out today. $15 per bunch.

All I did was swap their pens. Now they’ve got beef with each other. (Also, they’re young, without spurs, so no damage to each other will actually happen).

First chicks hatched this season, ONLY from coloured eggs. From pale to vibrant blues and teal to olive. Now to put my aracauna rooster (aka Sweet Cheeks as I’ve named him) over the Barnevelder hens and Barnevelder rooster over my Easter / Olive Eggers. Can’t wait to see what combination of eggs I’ll get in 6 month’s time!

For my next magic trick……

I will hopefully turn these bareroot sticks into beautiful florals to add to the Field, Flower & Feather stall!!

It’s my first time growing roses, so I’m nervous, but the best way to learn is with hands on experience and by making mistakes along the way!

I planted seven varieties, all well known for their stunning flowers.

What a sensational spring weekend!!

Be quick to secure your eggs this week as there is some serious stiff competition…. I was wondering why the main crew were producing less the past few days. Turns out they weren’t… it was a case of the thieving geese!!!! Stealing the eggs for their own nests. This should be interesting. I’ll have to post the evidence in my stories.

Anywho…!! As per usual, PayID and cash payment options available. Stall is located at 1 Mewett Court Williamstown.

A hole, a trailer full of old windows and doors, a long-awaited dream and hopes we can somehow turn it all into a greenhouse.

We’re working with the slope of our block and building it into the side of the hill, using cheap, free, reclaimed and repurposed materials wherever we can - much like everything else we’ve established on our little property.

Fortunately for me, my husband is very handy. Unfortunately for him, this has resulted in a never ending list of projects - all of which I assume he’s THRILLED about.

I’m equal parts excited and nervous to see if we can actually pull this one off.

A little pretty amongst the chaos.

The ornamental plums have been putting on a show for the last few weeks.

Meanwhile, the rest of the property is weeds, half finished projects and precisely 372 jobs on my to-do-list.

At least these understood the assignment.
