Originally Willunga butcher’s shop built in the 1860s, our cellar door still retains its local slate flooring and limestone walls. We share this space with cool café/providore next door, Willa Coffee Shop. So, the designated driver can have a cafe latte while you indulge in the sunny courtyard out back, by the fireplace in winter, or retire to our replete cellar. A very intimate space, we can only serve up to 14 people at any time. Please contact us prior for a booking if you have a group of 6 or more. We offer wine tasting, cheese platters or gourmet food from next door, so sit back and relax with our wines by the glass after grazing at the Farmers Market and perusing the local shops. We also provide bikes for hire if you fancy a ride up the famous old Willunga Hill or down the Shiraz Rail Trail! We are open Thursday to Saturday 10am to 5pm; other times by appointment only. Our new winter tasting list starts tomorrow Thursday June 11th.🍷

Our focus is on a really interesting mix for all winter warming occasions. Our golden Greco white is generous, fruity and creamy, textural to start. Followed by Nero (2024) and Montepulciano (2023), bright, juicy and bold, and then Malbec (2024) and Cabernet Sauvignon (2023) excellent new releases we think, modern styles.

Just a reminder that our cellar door is open 11am to 4pm, Thursday to Monday during winter, with the occasional extra day thrown in, so keep an eye on our socials.

WINTER CELLAR DOOR HOURS🍷

From this week, our Cellar Door will be open Thursday to Monday, 11am to 4pm throughout winter, (excluding public holidays).

Our new winter tasting list kicks off from Thursday 11th, and for the month of June, tastings will be free, making it a little easier to pop in, try something new and spend a slow winter afternoon with us.

Come and see us on the High Street in Willunga, Australia’s number one food and wine town, for a chat, a glass of wine and all the warm winter tones.

Keep an eye on our socials too, as we may open up on extra days here and there.🍷

We are proud to be once again, the official wine partner for the tenth Adelady + G-Fresh Longest Table Dinner.

This much-loved South Australian event has raised more than $650,000 for cancer research over the past decade, and this year the focus turns to bowel cancer research through The Hospital Research Foundation Group.

Join us on Friday 26 June at Sunnybrae Estate for a ‘Tropical Glam’ evening of great food and wine, live entertainment, and plenty of purpose.

We’re honoured to be part of a night that brings people together to help and have a lot of fun to boot.

Willunga has been named Australia’s number one Food and Wine Town in Australian Traveller's 100 Best Towns in Australia list, and also number seven to visit overall.

We are very proud to call Willunga home. With its historic village charm, deep connection to the Fleurieu Peninsula, passionate food and wine culture, proud people, it really is a special place.

For us, Willunga has always been more than a town, but a community: it’s historic High Street, local growers, makers, restaurants, cafés, farmers market, sporting clubs, parks and walks, conversation and great wine - all wrapped into one very special corner of South Australia.

We’re also delighted to see Hither & Yon called out by Australian Traveller as a “don’t miss” cellar door destination in Willunga. Come and see why Willunga is having it’s time.

We are excited to be pouring at The Drop In: Alternative Reds at the National Wine Centre on 3 July. An evening dedicated to the lesser known, emerging and wonderfully expressive red varieties finding their place in Australian wine.

Alternative varieties have long been part of the Hither & Yon story. They suit our climate, our soils, and the way we like to drink - vibrant, textural, food-friendly and full of character. On the night, we’ll be pouring a line-up of reds that speak to that approach: 2024 Nero d’Avola, 2024 Mencia, 2024 Touriga Tempranillo, 2024 Montepulciano & 2025 Aglianico.

This event will be a great chance to taste widely, meet producers including Malcolm, and explore the world of alternative reds in one place. We’re looking forward to sharing our wines and being part of such a thoughtful celebration of where Australian red wine is heading.

Mother’s Day weekend calls for something a little special 💐

We’ll have our Pink Fizz Spritz on pour at the cellar door - a bright, playful mix of Shifty Lizard Brewing Co. sister brand Soul Bird Distilling gin, Hither & Yon Petit Rouge and Mischief Brew AU quandong soda, finished with a dried citrus garnish. Fresh, lightly spritzy and very easy to enjoy.

🍇 By virtue, we grow .. our 2026 harvest finished on April 30th, just before the late break of the season. We are so pleased that our patience in the vineyard has been rewarded in the winery, with early strong signs of an outstanding vintage, the colour and shape of the wines is brilliant.

72 days on the loop, 37 blocks picked, 209 tonnes crushed for Hither & Yon, that kept us busy! With a lean crew on the ground this was a tough grind, weather turns, some heartbreak but a great sense of spirit and fun along the way, feeling lucky for our place here in the Vale.

Most of all as it should, it came down to picking on the moment. Sincerely appreciate all our team in the vineyard and winery, the quiet stars of the show. We look forward to sharing with you, exciting debut wines and our own style take of the vintage 2026 that was.
