Mark the calendar — W**e Options Night is coming to Varney W**es on Thursday 19 November, and this one's all about McLaren Vale at its absolute best.
We're pouring 15 of the region's most decorated w**es and hottest new releases, blind, head-to-head across 5 tasting brackets. No w**e snobbery required — just good company, sharp opinions, and a few surprises along the way.
And the food? We've gone all out. Hayley White from Gather & Dine is crafting an elevated shared menu for the night — think a gorgeous grazing-style tapas spread to kick things off, followed by a generous shared hot plate designed to sit right alongside the w**e in your glass. This isn't your average cellar door nibbles.
This is also our last W**e Options Night for the year before we wind down for the holidays — so consider it the perfect way to toast the year that was, before we head off to start dreaming up next year's lineup. 🥂

The varying stages of the Larnook W**es cellar door over an afternoon. They will officially open this Thursday so get in quick as this spot will be pumping over the spring and summer.
Terrifics w**es, great family and absolutely outstanding views you can stare at all afternoon.

If you're looking to catch up with a mate then you should definitely go try all of the cellar door snacks at Maxwell W**es . Their award winning kitchen offers a drool worthy degustation on the weekend that should be at the top of your list. But if you can't make that then check out their cellar door snacks available every day of the week. We tried every one and holy crap were they outstanding.

The flavours are amazing and the w**es paired with each course go together perfectly. Add the sun and warmth of the courtyard on a sunny spring day and it's a recipe for an amazing afternoon.

If you haven't been before put it on the top of your list. A most amazing casual dining experience that you can cater to your hunger. But definitely don't pass up the kimchi wagyu beef on crispy sourdough bread. A unique treat not to be missed.

One of the many things I love about McLaren Vale is all the family run brands that don't have cellar doors and make amazing w**es that should be shared with the world.

The Ledson family is one of those. They've been growers for generations and are now venturing into their own brand and the decades of experience walking vineyards shines through.

The chillable Nero, textural Fiano and gorgeous rose are all very easy drinking but not boring or simple. Soooo worth buying and sharing with friends or family.

We had a terrific evening at Ekhidna Kitchen this Friday hosting our latest w**e options night.

The McLaren Vale vs South Australia theme was a lot of fun, the space was great and the grazing platter and hot food went down a treat.

Thanks to everyone who came and all the support from Erin and Kane at Ekhidna Kitchen and Ben and Kim from Usefull for help with ticketing.

We love hosting these events which are about having fun, a bit of learning and lots of laughs and good w**es.

Our next one is at Varney W**es on Thursday, November 19th and will be all Mclaren Vale w**es and themed "Award Winners and New Releases" so keep an eye out for ticket links as every event is limited tickets.
