2 x Pullets available - 8 weeks. Off heat and well acclimatised to outside. HOWEVER, they’re not yet coop ready (due to size difference) and require access to a warm, draught free area.

I've been trying to come up with a purpose for two of these gorgeous boys who are currently getting picked on in the bachelor pad, as they're lovers, not fighters. 😆

They're both black F1 pink eggers (Orpington x Marans) and are sweethearts. I'm going to pop them in with some splash laced Wyandottes who lay heavy blooms to (hopefully) create some beautiful pink eggers! Black x splash should produce 100% blue, so they should be nice looking birds too! 🤞

👀 Watch this space - I'll have a few spare POL splash laced gold Wyandottes going up next week. (Sorry, no wait lists!)

Would you believe me if I told you these eggs came from 𝚂𝙸𝚂𝚃𝙴𝚁𝚂!? 🥚

These are from my pink egg project pen, both laid today.

After studying a little on genetics last year, I put my lovely Blue Orpington hen (Margaret) - who lays a beautiful speckled, very heavy bloom pale egg - in with a lovely Copper Marans boy in hopes of ending up with some pinky tones; the results certainly didn't disappoint. The only difference here is one lays with a very heavy bloom.

Not only do the offspring lay lovely eggs, they're also very attractive birds (Black, Blue & Splash variations) with wondeful temperaments. I'll leave a few images in the comments. 😊

Super excited to continue my pink/purple/mauve egger breeding program! I've got some super interesting girls to have a play around with. 🩷💜

Some of the Marbar girls got a pen upgrade today! ☀️

These girls are F1 Olive Eggers (Cream Legbar x Copper Marans) and are laying a beautiful, rich shade of green - the odd speckled and heavy bloom too.

I find the Marbars to be really inquisitive and quite smart. They very quickly become your best friend if you slip them an extra treat or two!

I plan for this pen to be for my premium Olive Eggers, so once I know who’s laying what, I’ll keep the best, boot the rest, and add some of my other favourite girls (F2 & F3). 🥰

I’ve got some sample packs on the way as well, so I can test my Olive Egger boys to ensure they’re carrying a blue gene! 🧬
