We have always thought our ducks might be Japanese 🪿🤣.

Every time they see you, they come waddling over and start **bowing hello** like the most polite little welcoming committee in Queensland. 😂

Honestly, their manners are better than most humans.

10/10 hospitality.
12/10 waddling.
100% expecting snacks. 🥰 🤣

🐮 Meet the newest little member of the Hinterland Hideaway family! 🥰

Just 4 days old and this gorgeous baby bull is already wandering over to us for cuddles. Safe to say, he’s worked out very quickly that life at Hinterland Hideaway Farm comes with plenty of love, attention and pats. 💛

Meet Astrid. 🐹💕 One of our new baby guinea pigs 🥰.

She has quickly worked out that at Hinterland Hideaway Farmstay, even the tiniest residents live in luxury… for her, preferably it's from her hammocks. 😂

Her hobbies include lounging, looking adorable and singing us a song every single time the fridge opens for a special treat. 🎶🥬 And of course, she can't go without her pats and cuddles 🥰.

Clearly, she already knows exactly how farmstay life should be done. She has fit right in and is living her best life 🥰.

Sunbaking by the dam 🥰. 🐢✨

No cages, no glass walls, just pure, uninterrupted freedom. This gorgeous turtle was spotted soaking up the afternoon rays right down by the water, living its absolute best life.

When you create natural spaces and respect wildlife, you get to witness moments like this exactly as they were meant to be seen: wild and free.

Aww Mumma Bear, our beautiful hug-hunting sheep. 🐑🤍

Those who haven't met her, mumma Bear is one of our free-ranging sheep. There are no fences keeping her close to us, she simply chooses to be.

She’ll wander over, lean in and happily ask for cuddles, scratches and a little bit of love whenever she gets the chance.

One of the things we treasure most about our animals is seeing just how safe, loved and comfortable they feel with us. They have the freedom to roam, yet so often they choose to stay nearby, seek us out and ask for affection.

For us, that says everything. 🥰

Mumma Bear could be anywhere on the farm, but more often than not, she’s close by, waiting for her next cuddle. There’s something incredibly special about knowing that love and trust are what bring her back to us time and time again. 🤍

She’s one of the gentle souls that makes life at Hinterland Hideaway Farmstay feel a little more magical and a beautiful reminder that sometimes the simplest connections mean the most.

Fresh out of the bath… and already making new friends 😂

Meet Pepper 🐹 , one of our beloved guinea pigs, who decided that getting dried after a bath was far less important than introducing herself to… the toilet roll holder.

Towels ready. Warm, cosy… not a chance.
Pepper had other plans, straight into a full-blown meet-and-greet 🤣

It’s these little, unexpected moments that make farm life so special 🥰.
