Meet the man behind the wines, Kane Grove 🍷

A Margaret River local, Kane’s connection to the region began long before he became Head Winemaker at Driftwood Estate. From learning the foundations of winemaking at Leeuwin Estate to now crafting wines that reflect Driftwood’s unique site, his approach has always come back to attention to detail and letting the vineyard speak for itself.

Exceptional fruit, gravelly loam soils and cooling breezes from the Indian Ocean all play their part, but for Kane, great wine always begins in the vineyard.

Described as “a contemporary Margaret River Shiraz that showcases effortless balance,” the review celebrates its layers of blackberry, dark cherry and ripe plum, complemented by cracked pepper, violet and a subtle coastal freshness. On the palate, silky tannins, vibrant acidity and a long, elegant finish bring everything together beautifully.
