Cullen Wines was established by Dr Kevin and Diana Cullen. Their legacy of caring for the environment and producing only the best quality wines is contained in three words, quality, integrity and sustainability. To this end Cullen Wines is now a third generation family owned wine company which is certified biodynamic, certified carbon neutral and powered by the wind farms in the great southern. Th

e wines represent purity of place in that the now 40 year old vineyard produces wines which have no additions and are an expression of place. The wines are fermented using indigenous yeasts giving a true expression of terroir.

Just in reviews for Legacy Chardonnay and Cabernet from Ray Jordan.!!Ray says of the Chardonnay .... This legacy series has produced some wonderful w**es ,and this is yet another stunning example of.In line with the biodynamic principles of Cullen,it was picked on a flower day and new moon in February.The bunches went into clay amphora lined with beeswax for two days before pressing,and then in was transferred into biodynamic flower day puncheon to complete fermentation.So what does this mean? Well it means it's a damn fine w**e.Plenty of savoury,minerally ,slightly honeycomb,lemon curd aromas.And then a palate that is so rich and textured,yet held with deft control,with a fine precise acidity.The palate extends with effortless ease to such a sustained long finish.Each time you dig back into it ,you will find something different.It is such a wonderful w**e 98/100 thank you Ray..
Legacy Cabernet 99/100 a supreme and stunning w**e under the legacy Series from Cullen. After crushing to clay amphora, the fruit was left on skins for 12 days before pressing into biodynamic barrels for four months.There were no additions,so this is a pure and expressive example of vineyard and region.Exquisite perfume combinations of violets and red fruits.And then a palate which is seamless and precisely integrated.Tannins provide an energy and vibrancy supporting the fruit.This is elegance personified,but with the typical Cullen power house driving it . **es

The two Solstice Suns, eight Legacy Series Chardonnays reaching back to 2014, and a Vanya Cabernet vertical: 2023, 2022, 2015, 2012.

1977 rose made by Dr Kevin John Cullen back nearly 50 years ago.Will have to have a 50th birthday rose celebration next year.This bottle hand delivered after travelling the Nullarbor was in remarkably good condition and just love the retro label,..no regulations about anything as there is no information on label at all!!
It says ,Cullens Cabernet Sauvignon Rose ..1977 Willyabrup (two Ls) W**es Cowaramup Western Australia..no backlabel ..no health warnings.. Can assume drain off rose w**e production ...fresh red berry fruits good fruit concentration and provenance of a great vintage 1977.Remarkably contemporary in its style of classic fruit and definitely no AI ..Just love it .Stay tuned for next years 50th!! So much fun **es

From 1978 Such memories of beginnings hope friendship family and what a wonderful time we all had.Thankyou Bill..
