Some lovely rain today and our ducks loved it. And they have something very exciting to announce 😊

Next Sunday, 1st November we will be starting our End of Year Sale, which will finish on 31st December 2026.

Anyone who books to stay with us and confirms between 1st November and 31st December 2026 will receive a 20% discount, and you are welcome to stay anytime for the rest of the year and anytime during 2027. This offer also includes Long Weekends and School Holidays.

And to all our wonderful guests who have stayed with us before, you are still entitled to your 10% discount as well. A huge 30% discount.

Your booking must be confirmed with a 50% deposit between 1st November and 31st December 2026.

PS - This sale is for guests staying with us. It does not include Morning Visits or Led Horse Rides, although your usual 10% discount for repeat guests still applies to those.

Hello Everyone ☺

This Wednesday we're bringing back memories of a younger Rhyleigh (he was just 4 years old, the same age as Koko is now). Anyone who's met our gentle kelpie knows just how loving he is of all babies on the farm. He's been this way his whole life, whether it's a lamb, gosling or kitten.

This is an old video of Rhyleigh taking care of a duckling and those eyes says it all. He has and will always be our most gentle guardian of baby animals on the farm.

Hello Everyone 😊

Memories - Our very much loved Kelpie “Koko”

When Koko was a little puppy, I taught him how to play fetch. Growing up, I always wanted a dog who would play fetch with me, and now I finally have one. Little did I know what I was starting! He is now completely obsessed with the game and would happily play it all day long if he could.

Koko loves playing fetch with our guests too, and he has even worked out his own way to play with the children while they are on the trampoline. He pushes his ball through the netting door for the children, they throw it back over the net for him, and off he goes to fetch it again, over and over. As you can see in the photos, he never takes his eyes off that ball.

Hello Everyone 😊

Spring is now here at Ba Mack Farmstay and we are so excited to welcome 3 baby goslings to the farm.

They are just so cute and another lovely addition to our farm family. Mum and Dad are very proud parents and have been keeping a close eye on their little ones as they explore the paddock and enjoy the beautiful spring sunshine.

Hello Everyone ☺️

Wash day at Ba Mack Farmstay.

Our horses love to give our guests a led horse ride, so once the rides have finished they get a lovely wash down to cool off. Dusty never misses the chance for a long drink straight from the hose.

Eric, on the other hand, waits patiently through his whole wash and then heads straight out to the paddock for a good roll in the dirt. Horses love to have a good roll.

Teddy (our newest puppy) had her turn today too, and was very happy to be wrapped up in a towel for a cuddle in the sunshine afterwards.

Hello Everyone ☺️

The October Long Weekend is fast approaching and I just wanted to let everyone know that if you are looking for a great get away for your family, we have our Cottage available for that weekend.

The nights of Friday 2nd, Saturday 3rd, Sunday 4th and Monday 5th October - minimum stay is 2 nights but when staying with us for 3 nights, your 4th night is complimentary.

So many fun things to enjoy while staying with us - full breakfast provisions (enough to enjoy for lunch as well), animal feeding, led horse and pony cart rides and afternoon baking with me in the homestead every afternoon. I have so many recipes to share with you.

We also have a great playground for your family to enjoy - internet service is provided if you wish to be connected, otherwise, you are able to switch off and enjoy life without technology.

Here is a picture of my favourite recipe - my homemade scones, straight out of the oven and served with whipped cream and jam.

*AN UPDATE ON OUR WONDERFUL LED HORSE RIDES* 🐴💛

We are now able to offer led horse rides most days of the week at 12.30pm!

It would mean so much to us if you could please tag your friends and family to help spread the word about this special experience now available in the Mudgee region.

One of the most loved experiences at Ba Mack Farmstay is our gentle led horse rides, specially designed for children and adults to enjoy in a safe, calm farm environment.

📍 Ba Mack Farmstay is located just 30 minutes from Mudgee, NSW. Mudgee is famous for its beautiful wineries, local honey, and cheeses, with more than 35 wineries to explore during your visit.

Our led horse rides

Available most days of the week

Start at 12.30pm

Choose from:

30 minutes – $50 per rider

1 hour – $100 per rider

These rides are slow, relaxed, and all about helping children and adults feel comfortable, confident, and happy around our beautiful horses.

To ensure every rider receives plenty of care and attention, we offer a maximum of two riders at a time, making this a truly personal experience rather than a rushed group activity.

Perfect for nervous riders

If you or your children are feeling a little unsure around horses, please don’t worry. Our horses are calm, patient, and well accustomed to children and first-time riders. We take the time to gently introduce each rider and allow confidence to build at their own pace.

Important information

Bookings are essential as spaces are limited

Weight limit: 100kg per rider

Please note that we are unable to accommodate pets during visits or stays, so please make alternative arrangements
