🧁 Cupcakes for a very special cause 🧁

On Sunday 16 August, the Illawarra Stingrays community and Stem Cell Australia came together at Lakelands Oval to support one of their own, U14s player Harper, who is searching for a stem cell donor.

I was so honoured to be asked by one of the team members friends if I could make some delicious cupcakes for this very important day.

It was so heartwarming to see a community come together to support Harper and her family and to help spread awareness about the importance of finding her donor.

Sending Harper and her family so much love, strength and hope. 💗
We’re all hoping that the right donor is found. 🤞

ILLAWARRA, WE NEED YOU. 💗

We’ve seen this week what can happen when a community rallies together. Now we’re asking the Illawarra to do it again.

This Sunday, we’re swabbing for Harper, one of our U14 Stingrays, and for others waiting for a stem cell match.

If you’re 17 to 35 and eligible, please come to Lakelands Oval and join the registry.

A simple cheek swab could be the first step towards giving Harper the future she deserves.

But this is more than a swab. Please take the time to understand what joining the registry means, and what happens if you are identified as a potential match.

Then help us reach as many eligible people as possible.

Please share this post with your networks, workplaces, sporting clubs and community groups. Every share helps us reach more people who could be the match Harper needs. 💗
